Collage 2010:
Jewish Women in Song - A Celebration
Nearly 650 Jewish women came together for the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston’s 16th Annual Collage Luncheon on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, raising more than $245,000 for the Federation’s Annual Campaign. The luncheon was hosted by the Federation’s Women’s Philanthropy Division.
Collage, the premiere event of the Women’s Philanthropy Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston, provides a unique opportunity for women to meet and share their experiences while raising funds for the Federation’s Annual Campaign, which supports organizations in Houston, Israel and more than 60 countries around the world.
The women who served in key leadership roles for Collage 2010 were Ellen Trachtenberg as Chairwoman, Velva G. Levine as Honorary Chairwoman, and Sandra Finkelman as the Women’s Philanthropy Chair.
This year’s event, which paid tribute to past Collage chairs and celebrated 15 years of Collage, featured singer and songwriter Lesley Wolman, who performed songs from her latest album, “Jewish Women in Song,” in which she highlights performances from 14 Jewish women who have been influential in Lesley’s life.
